## iOS Proxy Setup Guide

This guide explains how to set up a Wi-Fi proxy on iPhone and iPad devices.

## Getting Started

Before proceeding, ensure that you have:

* No other VPN or proxy services active.
* The **proxy endpoint** and **port** (e.g., us.decodo.com:10101).
* Your proxy username and password (or a set of whitelisted IPs).

📘 **Proxy Guide**
Learn how to find proxy details for each proxy type in the dashboard \[here].

## Wi-Fi Network Settings

⚠️ **App Compatibility Warning**
Wi-Fi proxy settings only work for browsers. Apps cannot connect through this method.
iOS only supports **HTTP proxies** for Wi-Fi networks.

### Step 1

Ensure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, then open **Settings**.

### Step 2

Tap **Wi-Fi** and select the network you are connected to.

### Step 3

Scroll down to the **HTTP Proxy** section, then tap **Configure Proxy**.

### Step 4

Toggle to **Manual**.

### Step 5

Fill in the following fields:

* **Server** (e.g., us.decodo.com)
* **Port** (e.g., 10101)

### Step 6

Configure Authentication:

1. Toggle on **Authentication**.
2. **Username**: Your proxy username
3. **Password**: Your proxy password

📘 **Note**
If you are using an **IP whitelist** instead of a proxy username and password, you can skip this step.
Learn more about authentication methods \[here].

### Step 7

Tap **Save**.

### Step 8

If a pop-up window appears asking for credentials, tap **Settings** and re-enter your proxy authentication details.

### Verify the Connection

Open your browser and visit **ip.decodo.com**. If the setup is successful, your IP address will display the proxy's location.

### Disable the Proxy

To disable the proxy, simply tap **Off** in the **Configure Proxy** section, then tap **Save** again.

## Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

### Blocklist

⚠️ **Target Access Notice**
Please note that access to certain domain names is restricted. Click \[here] to learn more.

### Direct IP

**Direct IP Parameter Support**
If you have purchased an IP list, you can use the direct IP parameter in your proxy username: `user-username-ip-x.x.x.x`

**Supported Plans**: DC Pay/IP, Dedicated DC, ISP Pay/IP, Dedicated ISP Plans.
Products that provide access to the full proxy pool (e.g., Residential Proxies) do not support this parameter.

### IP:Port Format

Decodo proxies do **not** support the default IP:PORT format.
You must use the **endpoint rotator format** (e.g., us.decodo.com:10101).

If necessary, try the workaround \[here], but it only works temporarily and requires reinstallation after updates.
